Over the course of the day on Bedfordshire Day, we posed a few questions to tax the mind. All the questions had a numeric answer, to allow for an educated guess. Below are the answers, how close did you get?
So, you though Bedfordshire Day was done and dusted for another year? Not quite. For some of our friends, the weekend is a better plan. That’s why they are celebrating the best of Bedfordshire today.
For those who like history, why not pop down to Dunstable Priory church? They will be holding several talks about the history in Dunstable, this year all with a WW2 theme. The Priory tea rooms will be serving lunch as ever, with clangers on the menu. The talks are free, but it is advisable to book for lunch. The clangers will sell out quite quickly!
For those with a less scholarly approach to the weekend. Leighton Buzzard might hold the answer, with the Leighton Buzzard Brewery’s Open Day. The flags will by flying, the bunting will be up, the band will be playing and the beer will be flowing. Bedfordshire Best will be available (first brewed to commemorate Bedfordshire Day). There will also be clangers available.
Enjoy your weekend, and don’t forget to share your Bedfordshire fun with us using the hashtags #BedfordshireDay and #GetYourClangersOut
Bedfordshire Day is nearly over but there is still time to enjoy yourself. There are hundreds of fantastic pubs across the county who serve great food and drink. Locally brewed beers feature on the bars of many.
One pub, the Engineers Arms, especially, will be serving up to 12 ales, all locally sourced. Why not go down to the Henlow pub for a few cheeky ales?
Prefer to tax the mind? The Bell in Studham will be having a pub quiz starting at 9pm tonight. It’s a roll over from last week’s quiz, so the prize really is tempting.
We just thought we’d share a video from a few years ago. It still makes us laugh. Many thanks to DBM Motion Graphics.
